Acceptable use & intellectual property
Applies to everyone who visits or uses Scale, including through automated tools and AI assistants.
1. Ownership
Scale — its software, source and compiled code, design, screens, workflows, data models, documentation and content — is owned by its publishers and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Using the service gives you a limited, non-transferable right to use it for your own projects. It does not transfer any ownership.
2. What is not allowed
- Copying, reproducing, modifying or distributing any part of the software or its code, including the scripts and files your browser downloads to run it.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, de-minifying or otherwise trying to derive the source code, algorithms or data structures.
- Scraping, crawling or harvesting the service with bots, scripts or AI agents, except through the assistant connection each user authorises under "My AI Assistant".
- Using any part of the service, its code or its content to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or AI models, or to build a competing product.
- Getting around security, access controls, rate limits or these restrictions.
3. Your data
Project data you enter belongs to you and your firm. You can export it at any time. AI assistants you connect act only with your access and on your instruction.
4. Enforcement
Access that breaks these terms may be blocked without notice, and the publishers may take legal action to protect their rights.
